We as educators have a responsibility to expose our children to as much information and knowledge as possible. Learning should not be a cookie-cutter process. It should take into consideration the entire child.

Bodhi Learning Academy provides a valuable service to everyone including school age children, college students, homeschooling parents, Charter Schools and more. Our proven research based methods improve learning for all students. We make it simple for a child to excel beyond the common core values of traditional education, while providing a more full and rich learning experience. Lessons can be customized to include deeper teachings of past events as well as practical knowledge, such as banking and money management. This gives the bodhi student a leg up on life as well as a deeper appreciation of their history.

With over 20 years of Classsroom experience as a certified teacher, founder and CEO Gerald Cummings has been an advocate for educational change. Gerald holds Bachelor of Science degrees in Mathematics and Computer Science. He also has his Masters of Education in Curriculum Design and Instruction with a Technology focus. He comes from a family of educators. You might say Education is the family business.

However, Gerald's desire has always been to take learning to another level. A place where a child's education can begin when that child is ready and eager to learn. Where the pace of learning is not hindered by traditional classroom pedagogy. True individualized learning is based on how and when each student comprehends and retains the content. A learning environment should be a place where a calendar year does not determine grade advancement. All of this brought about the creation of GCI Consulting and Bodhi Learning Academy.

The purpose for developing the Bodhi Learning Academy is to provide effective educational resources to reach everyone. Our services include:

Customized Curriculum Design- We will meet with you to discuss your child's learning style as well as what items you want your child to learn beyond the traditional classroom.

Virtual Self-Paced lessons - All of our lessons are self-paced in a virtual learning environment. Lessons are customized for child specific needs, while addressing common core or other state testing standards.

Academic Support - We are here for you! We offer academic support for both teachers and students as needed.
​
Math Tutoring- We provide resources and assistance to students in all grades that may need additional help in math.
​
Praxis Preparation- We provide test preparation courses for aspiring teachers to pass their praxis tests to acquire certification.​

The Bodhi Learning Academy gives the opportunity for students to reach their full potential while sparking interests for deeper knowledge. This creates a hunger for life-long learning.
